Allegations
A story shared on twitter by a user whose handle is @PIDOMNIGERIA asserted that Bayo Onanuga with the twitter handle @aonanuga1956 is a desperate thief. Between 2016 and 2019, while serving as MD of News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), he exploited the NAN Bizcom Accounts Access Bank 0016628258 & Zenith Bank 1012782058 to steal government funds and put them in his own pocket. @officialEFCC should investigate.
He sold off official NAN vehicles through a shady auction process that was against FGN Financial regulations, to himself and some of the corrupt management employees of the organization.
Due to his high level of corruption, unions under his agency had to petition the FG and include the EFCC.These unions include the Radio Television Theatre and Art Workers Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU), the Amalgamated Union of Public Corporation, Civil Service Technical and Recreational Services Employees (AUPCTRE), and the Senior Staff Association of Statutory Corporation & Govt Owned Companies (SSACGOC).
They all charged Bayo Onanuga with open theft, misappropriation of government and agency finances, high levels of corruption, haughtiness, and a lack of fundamental skills needed to run an organization. Nigerians can still conduct their own research because these unions are still in existence. Remember that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu proposed Bayo Onanuga @aonanuga1956 for the position of Managing Director (MD) of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). He is battling unjustly for him because of this.
